Vacation ~ 1 Respite or a time of respite; an intermission or rest

2 A scheduled period during which activity or work is suspended

Respite ~ 2 A temporary intermission of labor, or of any process or operation

The loveliest bowl of potato salad made by a lovely friend for a special girl on a special birthday!

There are as many ways to take a vacation as there are recipes for potato salad. For many the opportunity or frequency of taking a vacation is limited. So what can you do when you are not on vacation in the space where you spend the most time? I once said to a friend, " I take a vacation every day in my home!" A place I look forward to seeing at the end of my workday, a place to restore my calm, provide a visual rainbow of lovely things to view that remind how important the little things are in my life, and words all around to remind me of important matters that can get lost in the hustle and bustle of the day.
